Between A Rock and a Hard Place
Between A Rock and a Hard Place Festival takes place in the surrounds of the Spitzkoppe Mountains in Namibia.
Our desert festival takes place over 2 days and is focused on electronic music experience bringing you local and international DJs featuring Afrotech, Tech house, Afro House and Techno and more.
getting there
Located 160km from the coastal town of Swakopmund and 270km from the capital city of Windhoek, finding us is a breeze. Well-marked signs will guide you effortlessly to the turnoff towards Spitzkoppe, where a 30km gravel road leads you to the festival grounds nestled just outside the Spitzkoppe area. With Namibia boasting two international airports – Walvis Bay International Airport near Swakopmund and Hosea Kutako International Airport near Windhoek – accessibility is never an issue.
For those coming from South Africa, Fly Namibia and Airlink offer convenient flight options to these airports.
Stay options
General Camping
General access campers can choose their spot on a first-come, first-served basis.
Amabushy
For our Amabushy ticket holders, designated areas await you where your bow tent with two stretchers will be set up and ready.
Glamping
Glamping chalet ticket holders will be welcomed at reception and escorted to their comfortable accommodations, complete with beds, bedding, electricity, flush toilets, and showers.
Feast & Refreshments
While we encourage you to bring your own water bottles, canned beers, and ciders, please remember that glass bottles are not permitted on-site and will be confiscated. Feel free to support our fully-equipped bar, offering all your favorite beverages. Additionally, indulge in delicious treats from our food truck to keep you energized throughout the festival. You’re also welcome to bring your own food and snacks, with a communal braai area available, as open fires are not permitted at campsites.
